The AFQT

A percentile from 1 to 99, against a national reference group. It is the number that decides whether you may enlist. This site does not compute one — a percentile needs a norm group, and no free practice test has one.

This is an original practice-question bank written for this site. It is not an official ASVAB test, it is not affiliated with the Department of Defense, and none of the questions are taken from any official test form. Every question here was written for this site, and every correct answer comes with a one-line explanation.

The site counts what you got right and reports it as raw correct counts per subtest. It does not produce an AFQT score or a percentile, because a percentile is a rank against a sampled reference population under standard test conditions — and no free practice test has one, including this one.

Are these real ASVAB questions?
No. Every question here was written for this site. Real ASVAB items are controlled test material, and this site does not use them. The questions are original and designed to test the same concepts the real test covers.
Why doesn't this site give me an AFQT score?
Because a percentile requires a norm group — a rank against a sampled reference population under standard test conditions. An unproctored, uncalibrated practice test has no norm group and cannot produce one. This site reports raw correct counts instead, which is exactly as much as an uncalibrated question bank can truthfully tell anyone.
Do I need an account to use this site?
No. There is no account, no email, and no sign-up. You can answer every question on the site and see every correct answer with an explanation for free.
What do I get for free?
Every question in every bank, in both practice and timed modes; the correct answer and a one-line explanation for every item; raw correct counts per subtest; and the list of what you missed with the concept each one tested. The study sheet — the worked method for what you missed — is behind a single optional gate.
What happens to my answers?
Nothing. Your answers stay in your browser and are never transmitted. There is no account, no cookie, and no network request carrying your choices. If you open the study sheet, your answers are held in that tab's session storage for the trip out and back, and your browser deletes them when you close the tab.
How is the site funded?
By a single optional gate beneath a completed result. The free result and every question are complete on their own; the gate adds the study sheet. Nothing you answer is ever sold or shared.
